Disc golf at Castle Hayne Park in Wilmington, NC

A typical fairway at Castle Hayne

An especially narrow drive
The brush is pretty sparse, so an errant shot is usually
easy to find.
Nice, large tee pads with a bench on every hole.
The path to hole 8, the 700 feet signature hole.
A double dogleg requires a shot that turns left followed by
a shot or two that turn right.
A driving platform for hole 8. The drive should follow the
opening to the left because...
what looked like an opening on the right is actually a creek.
My drive was typically short, but in the middle of the fairway
(yellow disc at the bottom, middle of the picture).
I threw a forehand for my second shot because the disc
needs to turn right.
Third shot, another forehand that has to turn right.
Fourth shot, I finally see the basket. I got a 6 on the
signature hole.
Hole 2 is a short, sharp dogleg to the left.
Hole 9, a short, sharp dogleg to the right, is the negative
twin to hole 2.
A short drive on hole 9 leaves this shot to the basket in the
open, with my van in the parking lot in the background.

I stopped after 9 holes, but here is a look at one of the
holes on the back nine. (The back nine is longer, harder.)
Looking back from the basket down the fairway.
The alternative, elevated basket placement for the same hole.
