I played in my fourth sanctioned disc golf tournament on Nov. 7

The tournament was at Englewood dam and I arrived as the sun was
lighting the trees around the shallow lake.

Registration and off to play some pre-start practice holes.

Everyone is called in for the opening players meeting. There
were 97 people in the tournament.

I shot 65 during both the morning and afternoon rounds. The
course is easy and I am capable of doing better. But I had
fun, enjoyed the perfect Fall day, and got to play again with
several people who I met at earlier tournaments.

At the end of the day I wasn't last. I beat one man (and both
     of the women).

There were no holes-in-one, so after the tournament those
who paid into the ace fund gathered for a closest-to-the-pin
toss to see who would get the money.

My not-yet-updated record as it appears on the PDGA website.
I had three reasons for entering tournaments this year -- to learn how
disc golf tournaments work and enjoy the atmosphere of tournament play,
to establish an official PDGA record and rating for myself, and to prepare
for play in the Amateur World Championships which are being held in Ohio
next year. Unlike these tournaments, the World Championships will be
big enough to have a division for people my age (60-69 years old).
