A weekend with mom in Columbus, Ohio

On the way to Columbus, mom and I drove through Plain City where we
had breakfast at the somewhat famous Amish restaurant, Der Dutchman.

We went to Columbus so I could watch one of the top 10
disc golf tournaments of the year. Mom waited in the van
while I took a couple of pictures of the course, but I got
her settled into the motel with TV and a cooler of snacks
before I came back to watch most of the tournament.
Our motel was in a little town North of Columbus, Sunbury.
We stayed two days so I could watch disc golf Saturday and
Sunday.
The motel had all the comforts of a rich man's home.

Breakfast is included with the room. This is a nice vacation.
Mom and I will have to check out some other nearby, small
towns for weekend getaways.
We had Sunday lunch at the Sunbury Gill where ....
mom enjoyed her sweet potato pie and ice cream.
Galena is a little town at the top of Alum Creek Lake. This
is a picture of most of the town. We had our Saturday lunch
at the bar and grill on the right.
