Brent Hambrick Disc Golf Tournament - more of the final 9 holes

In the practice area, someone threw a disc that somehow
ended up perfectly between these wires.

People tried to knock it out, but never succeeded.

I watched Des Reading throw some practice drives before the start of
the round. Looking at the pictures, I can see if my grip matches hers.

Yep, thumb and forefinger pinching together with the other fingers on
     the ridge of the disc.

The thumb and forefinger are the last digits to leave the disc.

Avery makes a putt to the elevated basket -- the putt is
on its way up and in.

His sister, Val, makes hers, too.

Des makes a putt on another hole and salutes the crowd.

The tournament director gives some direction.

And he keeps a careful eye on play at each hole.

Val Jenkins, from Ohio, finished 2nd in this tournament. But
she is the number one ranked woman, and two weeks later
she won the World Championship Tournament in Kansas City.

Unfortunately, I had to leave with a couple of holes remaining -- I had
to get back to mom. When I left, Nate Doss had a two-shot lead. I
later learned that he threw a drive out of bounds and the round ended
in a three-way tie. The playoff was won by Dave Feldberg.
