Brent Hambrick Disc Golf Tournament - the pros

On Saturday the pros had a long rain delay. I spent most of my time
scoping out the course, the parking, and the temporary, amateur course.

This is the first picture I took at the tournament. After learning who the
players are, I now recognize Val Jenkins in the middle of the group. She
is the number one rated female player.

On Sunday morning the weather was perfect and I followed
the leaders' group for most of their 18 holes.

I especially enjoyed watching how these best players got
out of trouble.

After one of the players hit the chains but bounced out, I
walked over to see what the putt looked like. This is the
view of the basket -- he almost made the shot.

Everyone in the leading group had a simple putt for birdie 2
on this hole, and they all made it. See how close Dave
Feldberg (and Nikko's white disc) are to being out of bounds.
Barry Schultz was in the lead group during the morning, but
lost his place to Avery Jenkins for the final, afternoon round.

A trecherous basket placement -- a shot that misses the
basket could easily roll down the hill to the OB road.

Nikko makes a putt from below the basket.

I also spent a little time watching the other pro players. I
liked the way this older man threw, and I asked who he was.
Someone in his group said, "That's John Sias, former world
champion."

This is one of my favorite pictures from the morning round.
