Super Bowl XLIII -- Pregame Inside the Stadium

After a couple of hours outside the stadium, it's time to go inside.

The line (of mostly Steeler fans) entering the stadium.

Inside, I get a look at the trophy we are about to claim (again).

For my Browns friends at home.

Same picture, with a slight improvement.

A Cardinal and other Cardinal fans.
I came up with a gameface for myself -- whenever I saw an Arizona fan,
I looked him in the eye and give a little smile as if to say, "I know
something that you don't."

Jerome Bettis being interviewed inside the stadium grounds.

A view of the Yankee spring training field next door which was used as
a staging area for the security helicopters.

My first view of the field a couple of hours before the game.

Everyone got a cushion with goodies inside.

These people sat on our left. The guy is a fisherman from Alaska.

These guys sat on our right. They were Jets fans from New York. They
half-heartedly rooted for the underdogs, but we got along with them fine.
When they first saw the stadium -- all Steeler towels -- they were amazed.

We exchanged many high-fives with these guys behind us.

The Cardinal end zone, dominated by Steeler fans, during pre-game
warm-ups.

Steeler fans dominating the Steeler end zone, too.

The Steelers practice leaping catches in the corner of the end zone --
very prophetic since that's the play that won the game for us.

This group of Steeler fans got tickets by the tunnel where Arizona
players come onto the field. They gave them hell every chance they got.

The Bethune Cookman band performed right before the game.

The coin toss, and here comes the game.
