Disc golf tournament 3-way playoff

Jeremy Koling, one of three players tied for the lead at the
end of regulation, drives on the first hole of a playoff.

Co-eader Brian Schweberger's drive on the first hole.
Bard Soleng drives, but slips on the wet ground even though he
(legally) used a towel in hopes of improving his footing.
Approach shot on the first hole -- amazingly, Jeremy threw
to the left of every tree in the picture and had the disc
curve back to the right and skip past the basket.
Brian tried to throw an overhand shot over the trees. He
slipped (for the first time all day, he said) and the disc
came down among the trees.
Brian ended up with this birdie putt, but missed it.
Bard Soleng's second shot was an attempt to throw to the
left of the trees and have the disc curve back to the basket
that you can see though the trees on the right.
Spectators, including tournament players, who are following
the playoff.
Jeremy has this birdie putt on the first hole for the win.
The disc hits the basket but falls out, leaving a drop-in for
the par 4.
Brian makes this putt for his 4. The other player's disc
landed a foot or two on the green behind the basket (the
greens are out of bounds) so the playoff is down to two
players, Brian and Jeremy.
Brian drives on the second playoff hole and lands close
to the basket for a birdie opportunity.
Jeremy drives on the second playoff hole.
Jeremy's drive left him a long birdie putt -- the basket is on
the right side of the picture in front of the golf cart. He made
the putt for a birdie 2.
Brian had to make this putt for his 2, and he did.
On the third playoff hole both players had birdie putts.
Jeremy missed his putt and the disc rolled down the hill about
30 feet past the basket. He was still away and missed his
comeback putt. Brian made an easy two-putt for the win.
The players shake hands.
And walk off, carrying the basket -- to help the grounds crew
(who must remove these temporary baskets when the
tournament ends).
