Mom update

Chocolate cheesecake with choccolate topping covered with another
layer of chocolate slices. I, on the other hand, had spaghetti.

We discovered a new, great thing to do together. I was
going to leave mom in the van while I ran into the gourmet
and fresh food store, but I noticed a wheelchair with a big
basekt for shopping on the front.
The store has exotic foods and free samples throughout. We
had a great time trying the foods and buying interesting
things like white asparagus and pomelos (and fresh
pineapple).
Cards from Mary Ann and Patty -- either for mom's birthday
or for halloween, I forget. Lavaughn also sent cards, and
mom loves to get them.
People see the pictures of mom and say, "Does she ALWAYS
smile?" So I told her not to smile for this picture.
Mom with a three-part dessert at Chili's.
Here's a cute one -- mom doesn't read much anymore, but
I found an article about parenting that was short and funny
and I thought mom would enjoy it. I gave it to her and she
read it and got a good laugh. About ten minutes later I
suspected she would not remember it, so I gave it to her
again and she got the same big laugh from it.
Coffee at Steak 'n Shake. Getting mom dressed and out
for breakfast or lunch is still our primary form of physical
therapy.
If I put anything on the floor at mom's -- a bag of Christmas
presents in this case -- Tangi likes to lay on it. She
especially likes to get into empty boxes.
Our cat, Shelby, likes boxes, too.
