Asheville, NC

Before we arrived in Asheville, I stopped in a little town a few miles South
to play a few holes of disc golf. The course was not impressive, but it
gave me a chance to stretch my legs and get a little fresh air.

The course followed a river for a while, but the river didn't come into play.

I like the path to the river for those who want to walk in the water.

     Asheville is surrounded by mountains.

We stayed in a motel on a hill outside of Asheville. (Thanks for the tip,
     John and Kim.)

A view from out hotel. Those are not the actual Smokey Mountains, but
the real Smokies are not far away.

Asheville is a great little town with lots of shops for window shopping.

An apparently successful arcade (the last arcade built in America) was
interesting to me because Dayton has an abandoned arcade that they
     would like to renovate.

John recommended Tressa's for drinks and music, but they didn't open
until late (too late for mom and me, anyway).

I enjoy listening to Story Corps on National Public Radio. They were
recording in Asheville while we were there. I probably should have taken
mom inside and recorded an interview with her (but I didn't).

Tangi, in mom's suitcase at the hotel.
