I tied the car keys around my waist with a rope. I also hid a spare key in the dirt
near the van.

The official season for floating has ended, so there are no rental rafts on the river.

The Truckee River
We floated in the Truckee River both in California, where the river drains from Lake Tahoe down to the town of Truckee, and in downtown Reno, where the same river has been fashioned into a popular park and water-play area. The picture to the left is Gail in the river between Lake Tahoe and the town of Truckee. |
