A multi-leveled swing inside where visitors can perch.

These objects have speakers so that as you walk between them, you feel like you
are walking among musical instruments.

A bass speaker.

In addition to speakers, most have lights inside that dim or brighten depending on the
music.

Another musical piece, a box with piano srings attached on the outside to all four
sides. When you are inside and people play the strings, you hear music in a new way.

My favorite in the humor category -- blue, shag carpet.

Only two students and one appears to be a dunce. The woman was giving an
actual lesson via story-telling.

Not art, but a grateful sight on occasion.

A forest of skis constructed by friends of a skiier who was going to come to
Burning Man for the first time this year, but died in a skiing accident.

A tattoo bed. Markers are provided, and you lay on the bed so a friend can trace one
of the shadow-shapes on you. There is a solar-powered light, so it works at night.

The usual group who builds a temple dedicated to those who have committed suicide
didn't build this year, but another group took over. The temple is largely made from
recycleables.

The Art of Burning Man
If I ever feel tired of being out in the desert, I hop on my bike and head for the playa where I ride from artwork to artwork. It gives me a real high. There are so many pieces of art on the playa, and you can't tell what they are until you ride up to them, so it is assured that you will miss some. In addition, each piece is very different depending on the lighting (the time of day), not to mention that almost all of the structures are completely changed when lighted at night.
