Tangi surprised me. In the past she roamed around the van, meowing for a long time.
This time, she just settled in and relaxed immediately.

She climbed onto my lap and mom's lap two or three times during the two-day drive.

But most of the time she sat or slept on her carrier between us. I didn't get a picture,
but she also spent a lot of time on a blanket covering some boxers in the back. I
think it might have reminded her of being on the couch at home.

Each time I drive to South Carolina, there are new sections of road (like this one) that
make the trip faster and easier. The downside is that instead of this new section of
road, I used to drive on a two-line country road with peach orchards, pottery shacks,
mom and pop diners, and small towns.

The road upgrades are due to the fact that they are building I-73 and I-74, which means
I will have Interstate all the way from Dayton to Little River someday.

Mom was great. We drove all the way to Greensboro (9 hours in the van), so our
drive the second day was only 3 hours.

Tangi, in the motel in Greensboro, SC. She spent most of the night on this table
next to the TV.

When we watched TV, I guess she thought we were watching her.

Breakfast at the Huddle House -- wishing Gail was here.

We came down to check on the rehab being done on the condominium complex. I'll
take more pictures of the updates later. The bad news is that when we got here, we
learned that the air conditioner isn't working.

So we called an air conditioning repair man, and headed for the pool.

Mom was surprised that we had the pool to ourselves. If you must have air
conditioning problems, it's nice to have a pool as your backup.

 South Carolina

Mom, Tangi and I are spending a week in Little River, SC.

This is a picture of mom as we stop for breakfast at a Huddle House in Rockingham, NC.
