Book two of the daily, autobiographical, small comics from James Kochalka.
This collection has one comic per day for all of 2004 and 2005, and, unlike
the first volume, the comics are in color (not that it matters much).

A graphic novel about the early travails of her gay brother, Freddie. Lynda Barry is
a graphic artist from the 60's who is experiencing a career revival.

A fascinating new book by Lynda Barry in which she conveys her method for
teaching people to write -- especially people who think they can't. Actually,
the book is a good introduction to creativity of any type -- painting, writing,
thinking. And the book is a work of art, itself, each page as rich as this cover.

A terrific, small book dedicated to one feature in Photoshop -- layers. I learned
A LOT from this book.

Furthering my limited knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets.

Gail says this is a good one, and she keeps asking me if I've
read it yet. It is next on my list.

And then I am going to read this sleazy, little one
just for fun. Another of Gail's recommendations.

And then this "epic, hilarious, luminous, and extraordinary journey of
discovery and redemption." I heard a review on the radio and was
interested. The author, Ron McLarty, is an actor.

In the newspaper, I read a review of this DVD for beginners. The Pilates
craze has been passing me by. This is supposed to be a good introduction,
explaining some simple exercises as well as the philosophy behind
Pilates. In addition to improving my posture and making me more flexible,
it is going to build my core strength and make me look and feel taller
and slimmer. I am hoping it will improve my disc golf game.

A Pulitzer Prize winner in the mid-80's, this book reminded me of a piece of music. The author continually refers back to previously mentioned ideas/events, adding embellishment with each new reference -- kind of like a piece of music with recognizeable themes that get richer and richer as the piece progresses. Definitely an interesting writing style.
