Saving on Gas
I made several changes which allowed me to spend much less on gas this year compared to last. I simply drive less, consolidating trips when I do go out. It helps to be retired, and to have all basic services a few blocks from home. And Mom lives here, so I don't have to make all those trips across town that I made last year. And I visited South Carolina less often this year (though mom, Tangi and I are getting ready for a trip soon).
During February this year, I bought no gas. In April and May I bought half a tank or less. The oil companies are taking advantage of the situation and maximizing their profits, but not at my expense.
