I am up before dawn and driving across the Columbia River, heading for a state park
with a disc golf course. It is easy to get up early because I am on Ohio time -- it is
5:00 a.m. here, but 8:00 a.m. for me.

Oregon has a law that you cannot pump your own gas.

These are the four discs that I brought in my suitcase.

I spot a nice sign on my way to another disc golf course.

After disc golf, I stop at this little coffee and waffle stand on my way home.

I got a Boarshead ham and cheese waffle.

They had all kinds of interesting waffles to go.

And wi-fi (penetrating your body).

You can tell it's a popular place because it had a 15-car parking lot.

Bike racks like this one are scattered throughout downtown Vancouver.

One of my favorite signs.

This homemade ice cream store is one of Cole and Lisa's favorite places.

I got three ice creams, whipped cream and a cookie.

Clark College, where Joey will be taking several classes this Fall as he pursues his
goal of graduating from high school and graduating with an Associates Degree from
college at the same time. The college is right across the street from the high school
in Vancouver.

A good-bye hug from Cole as she gets ready to take us to the airport.

Mom and I had lunch at a gourmet restaurant at Portland International Airport before
we left for Atlanta, Columbus and home.

 Portland / Vancouver

From various locations around Portland you can see Mt. Hood looming in the distance.
