Here the monitor is set to show fuel consumption in 5-minute intervals. At the
bottom of the screen you can see that average mpg since last fill-up is 48.3 mpg.
The monitor can also be set to show GPS maps and driving directions.

Here the monitor is set to show energy use. You can see that the car is running
completely from the battery, and at the bottom of the screen you see that it is
getting 99.9 mpg.

Here you see that the car is running from the gasoline engine, which is turning the
wheels but is also feeding the electric motor so that it can recharge the battery.

 Toyota Prius

When I was in Florida, I got to drive my brother's Prius. It was very cool.

I assumed the goal would be to make the dashboard and controls look and act like a traditional car, but not so. To start the car (with foot on brake), you simply push the round "power" button (on the left side of the picture). The rectanglar button with a "P" on it is used to put the car into park.

When in reverse, as pictured to the left, a video of whatever is behind you appears on the monitor.
