6 Months with Mom
It has been 6 months since mom moved into the front of the house, and things are going well. My approach has slowly evolved into the following: make sure mom has a nice, clean place that she can be proud of, with nice clothes and good food, Tangi the cat to keep her company, no medical drugs (getting rid of drugs made mom healthier and happier), and someplace to go or something to do almost every day (applied physical therapy). Our attitude is: there's no yesterday and no tomorrow. The question each day is, what can we do right now that will make the day interesting for mom (and me).
And make sure I have time for myself -- happy hour with trivia, weekend in New York with Gail, etc.
