Reaching Nevada
I have crossed Nevada many times on the East-West route, but never drove across the state from North to South, until now. I am amazed at how many things there are to explore on the way from Las Vegas to Reno. The sights include Death Valley (including Devil's Hole, the hottest place in the US), Yosemite (just across the border in California), and Walker Lake in Nevada. And the small towns like Beatty, Tonopah and Hawthorne are great places to spend a night.
