A hotel with views of the Painted Desert. It was a real hotel back in the 1930's or
something like that, but is now a historic monument. Would have been a fun place
to stay -- but hard to get here back then.

Did I mention that I am the only one here?

Petroglyphs in Arizona.

On Route 66 with my van parked next to the sign for the continental divide.

Some disc golf in the hills around Flagstaff.

The trees smell good, and it's nice to get out of the van and stretch.

Almost a hole in one -- see the disc right next to the basket?

I've had some long days in the van, but my travel kit is pretty simple -- sunglasses,
a log book to keep track of gas and mileage, styrofoam bowls, a fork, knife and spoon,
and a cooler between the seats with lunchmeat and fruit. I keep those things on the
seat beside me along with a clean shirt in case I have to suddenly look presentable.
