I eventually drove out of the storm and saw blue skies. I don't remember for sure, but
this bridge might be somewhere around Mobile, Alabama.

I bought a second sidewinder at the Clearwater Disc Golf store. And I printed a list
of disc golf courses in various cities along the way.

The first course I stopped at was in Shreveport, LA.

By the time I got to Abilene, Texas I had my bike on the rack.

The first hole of the disc golf course that I played in Abilene.

One of the more trecherous pin placements.

The terrain was pretty boring and didn't change much until I got to Western New Mexico.

Bugs on the windshield.

I was going to sleep in my van again, but when I found a motel for under $30
I couldn't resist.

It gave me a chance to take a shower, do some laundry, and post these pictures.

I might even take a quick dip in the pool

 On the Road

Well, I took the Southern route straight through tropical storm Fay. The only problem I had was a tree across the road when I tried to take a back round from State Route 19 to I-10. I had slalomed around brances in the road until this point. But now I had to abandon my shortcut and go back to 19, following it to I-10 near Talahassee.

On my first day of travel, I left Tampa at 2:30 a.m. and drove though Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and slept in the van around Tyler, Texas. The second day I drove through part of Texas, Oklahoma, Texas again, and spent the night in New Mexico close to the Arizona border. I have Arizona and Nevada ahead of me.
