Peace

Time to Go

The focal point of my year begins this month and ends in mid-September. It's my fourth annual cross-country drive to Burning Man and Western vacation with Gail. This year I will first take mom and Tangi to Tampa. We will watch Cliff and Amy's house and animals while they are on vacation, and then I will drive out West, taking a new, Southern route.

I'll enjoy Burning Man for a week and then (in September) Gail will fly to Reno and meet me for another week at Tahoe, Pyramid Lake and Reno, followed by my cross-country drive home.

Shelby
Someone left a kitten in a box on our street. Gail heard the meowing and discovered it. So we have a new member of our family. Shelby is her name.

Joey and Shelby
Joey is still in Dayton for his Summer vacation. After visiting Shelby, he and I took mom to lunch to celebrate her new permanent.

Driving to Florida
Mom and I took three days for a leisurely drive to Tampa. We are watching the house and the animals while Cliff and Amy are on a cruise to Alaska with Cole.

Mom and I Keep the Dogs
There were some issues with shot records at the kennel. It all worked out at the last minute, but mom and I decided to keep the dogs anyway.

Geocaching
I discovered a new, potential hobby. I do not plan to get serious about it, but I might try it once to see what it's all about.

Escape
I am so glad to escape the political campaigns, the war, the inane media, etc. by living in the desert for a week with like-minded people.
