Filling in the bare spots (before the weeds do), and repairing some of Echo's damage.
New Grass
I scattered a $6 bag of grass seed in the back yard about three weeks ago. It has rained consistently, and the ground stayed nice and wet. About a week ago I scattered a second bag of seed. Here you see the first seeds have sprouted, and some from the second scattering are biding their time.
I didn't bother with any proper preparation -- I just threw the seeds to the wind and waited to see what happened.
