We got Tangi from PetsMart where the Humane Society was offering several cats.
We took Echo along to make sure they could co-exist (and eventually become
friends). I knew Echo was fine with cats, but I wanted to make sure Tangi would
not freak out around a dog. Tangi hissed a time or two, but I think we'll be OK.

Mom takes care of Tangi and Echo.

Once we get home, mom lets Tangi out of the box.

She jumps down, looks around, and hides behind the couch. At the pet store,
they said some cats will hide for as long as a month. But Tangi is very friendly
and was out and about by the next morning. It is now two days since we brought
her home, and she never goes behind the couch. She lays on the floor or hangs out
with us.

Here she is on my stomach.

A new toy to celebrate her second day with us.

The morning after we brought her home, she explored the entire house. Since then
she mostly stays off the furniture except for the couch. And I was very happy to
see that she used the kitty litter.

Mom gives her a treat. We have a lot of different bags of treats so that we can
find out which ones she likes best.

Tangi and Toys

Tangi has hit the big time. She has a good home and people who care about her. And she seems to be quite fond of us, too.
