I woke up the day after Thanksgiving at 5:00 a.m., and for some reason decided to
go shopping. I'd tried this before and swore I would never do it again. But with a
thermos of coffee to bolster my courage...

A light dusting of snow on the van, and classical music (to calm me) on the radio...

I drove by Staples, which wasn't open yet. This is the line in front of Walmart for the
STAPLES next door!!!!!!!!!! Forget Staples for now...

Lowe's -- no line. I walk in, buy, walk out. Nice.

Of course, all I got was something for me -- a drill and some energy efficient light
bulbs.

Back to Staples, where the line was gone (these are chairs from people who must
have spent most of the night there). I got some great things at Staples (can't tell
what they are). I saved 100's of dollars. I also went to Elder-Beerman (where I got
most of Gail's and mom's presents), Sears Hardware, and Walgreens (buy one,
get two free wrapping paper).

Back home, Tangi has to check everything out.

And she helps me wrap the presents.

Here are my presents for Gail.

And the presents at mom's.

And even presents for the Downies and Echo.

It's only the 24th of November. Way to go, me.

(Don't worry, Cole, Joey and Lisa. I haven't forgotten about you.)

My Shopping is Done!

I can't believe it, but here's the story...
