The space between the two front seats for Tangi's carrier and toys.

Must explore the perimeter of the van, of course.

Tangi made constant meows and a variety of other cat noises that we had never
heard from her before. She didn't seem particularly distressed, but she was very
vocal. I wish I knew the purpose of all the meows and other noises.

The evening sun lights up the top of a hill.

Note the reflection of mom's hands in the window.

Tangi spent some of her time in her carrier, and she preferred that the door be open.

The next morning -- fog in the valley ahead.

The sun burning off the fog.

Driving with Tangi

I had no idea how Tangi would react to being in the van. We had three options: keep her in the carrier, put her in the bigger Echo metal cage (with food and kitty litter), or let her roam free in the van. I decided to try the third option -- let her roam free. And it worked out fine.

I had a kitty litter box behind my seat and another in the back of the van. She used both, but mostly the one behind my seat. She spent most of her time in the front with us.
