I removed a stud and cut the opening for the new doorway into the bathroom and shower.

The plumbing for the sink and the shower. The shower has a safety valve to prevent
scalding oneself in the shower.

The wiring includes 220 for the stove.
I learned some things -- for example, the holes for the wiring are drilled on the back
to protect the wires. Nailing can only be done from the front on this wall. (If nailing
could be done from both sides, the holes would be drilled in the middle of the studs.)

The shower -- faucets have been installed
since I took this picture.
New plumbing in the basement of the house provides hot and cold water
for the
sink and shower.
There was already a shut-off for the cold water going to the front room. This is the
new shut-off for the hot water line.

Preparation 4
The picture to the left shows most of the recent progress. Electrical outlets have been installed. Plumbing is being installed. The shower is in place, and a new doorway for the bathroom (far left) has been cut into the wall.
I did the doorway, but I hired an electrician and a plumber to do the other work. |
