Anniversary

Gail and I celebrate the end of our lucky 13th year together and the beginning of our 14th.

I've been slow to post anything this month because I am working on a time-consuming project. I'm creating an apartment for mom in the front of our house. The hard part is throwing things away in order to create space -- but the more I discard, the easier it gets. It will be nice to have mom close by.

Hartley Passes Away Bob and Julie's dog, Harley, had to be put to sleep this month. He was almost 17 years old and had a great life. Before I got to know Hartley, I had no appreciation for dogs.

Kraig's Retirement Celebration
Our trivia buddy, Kraig, retired from the Dayton police department. We took up a secret collection and surprised him with a celebration and some presents.

World A' Fair
A chance to sample foods from all over the world. We had Indian curry, a Hungarian nut roll, Greek salad, Thai egg roll, and lots more. We also saw Scottish bagpipers and traditional Czech dancers.

Aniversary Camping
For the second year in a row, Gail and I celebrated our anniversary with a camping trip to Burr Oak State Park in Southeastern Ohio. We took Echo, of course. Three days total -- including a full day on the pontoon boat.
