New blinds are hung. Mom and I bought curtains yesterday and I'll hang them today.

I'm building a storage and clothes closet. I couldn't sleep the other night so I spent
an hour or two in bed pondering how I would design and construct the closet.

The door to the bathroom (on the left) is framed in.

The worst work I've done so far is my seams in the drywall. Some strategic pictures,
clocks, etc. might hide some the mistakes. Note the space-saving
radio/CD player/stove timer hanging below the cabinets.

I did a better job on the drywall seams inside the shower.

Two six-foot heaters will keep the living room warm in the Winter.

And I found these heating panels on the Internet. They are supposed to provide
heat at pennies per hour. One for the bedroom and, if necessary, one for the
bathroom.

The bedroom is almost empty and ready for mom's furniture.

Mom has a new walker with wheels, a seat and a storage compartment. She is
waiting for me -- we are taking Echo for a walk.

Mom and Echo will be good friends.

Echo and mom try out the new couch. The couch has recliners on both ends
and will probably serve as a comfortable place for out-of-town visitors to sleep.

Echo enjoys the view.

We finish the day with a cookout in the back yard, courtesy of Gail.

Mom's Space

The plumber, John Sanders, deserves a lot of credit. Not only for doing the plumbing, but for hooking me up with an electrician and especially for giving me good advice on every step of the process.
