Me and Mom
This is the beginning of a new phase in my life -- the Me and Mom phase. I am looking forward to it.
Except for a pre-planned, cross-country trip next month to Reno and Burning Man, I am going to embrace this chance to spend time with mom.
Maybe I can document some of what it's like to be 83+ years old. And we'll see what kind of adventures we can create together. I have a feeling that this time with mom is going to make me a better person.

Perceiving vs. RememberingAs mom remembers less (don't we all), I've noticed that she perceives more. Or, perception is more important. She lives in the moment and thoroughly enjoys what she experiences. She comments continually on the trees, the birds, the dog, etc. I plan to take advantage of this by providing interesting perceptions for mom (and me). |

Joey is in Dayton for his Summer visit. Mom and I took him to lunch at LaRosa's. Among other things, we celebrated his award for academic achievement during his first year in high school.
