I started my lunch with green tea, miso soup and a salad with a good
Japanese dressing.

The restaurant is named Sima. They also have six tables with small grills
built into the center, so you can cook your own dish if you like. I'll
definitely go back, but I might not order eel.

Eating Eel

There is a new Japanese and Korean restaurant near our house (on Woodman near Patterson). I visited for lunch.

I never had eel before, so I gave it a try. (Gail's eventual response: "Lips that touched eel will never touch mine.") That's it on the left, served with eel sauce over rice. The yellow slices are a Japanese radish. The little, green shaker contains a delicious Japanese pepper that is typically served with eel.
