Decorated with studio fragments. Enjoyable to explore up close.

Next I looked at how the piece interacts with the sky.

The sky, the playa and the city beyond.

Of course, as I did with many pieces of art, I had to see how it interacted with
my bicycle.

The piece and the city behind.

One of my favorites -- with the mountains.

The piece as an opening to the world.

Interacting with its own shadow.

With the temple and the shadowed mountains in the morning light. Nice.

With the mountains and the sky.

And the people on the playa.

With other pieces of art on the playa.

The temple on the left and the Man in the background on the right.

I didn't ask my neighbor too much about his artwork -- I don't even know it's name --
because I don't like to verbalize too much about art. Art is a wholesome
substitute for verbalization.

Neighbor's Art

My closest neighbors at Black Rock City were two related families, each with a daughter (cousins). One of the men, Jason, is an artist and he created a piece for the playa. Since he was my neighbor, I decided to make a more concentrated effort than usual to experience his piece of art.
