I arrived late and stayed in this lodge in the middle of town. The picture was taken
the next morning at sunrise. See my van on the left? I spent the day at the
national parks around Moab (see pictures elsewhere) and camped in Arches
National Park the next night (see pictures elsewhere).

During my second afternoon I posted the first batch of pictures for the trip, and I
watched the Denver pre-season football game. Because of the laws in Utah,
these bars must be private clubs. Therefore, I am now a member at "World
Famous Woody's."

Window shopping in Moab -- some t-shirts I liked.

This one might answer the question, "How can our country be so beautiful, and
those who lead it be so despicable?" Among other things, they don't spend enough
time off the pavement.

This one reminds me of my daughter, Cole, who hears the music.

A cactus garden.

At sunrise I drive a couple of miles North to the entrance for Arches National Park.

Moab

Looking down on Moab from the deck of a restaurant. Moab has become one of my favorite small towns. It is better than Sedona, for example, and that's saying a lot. (Moab is more natural, much less pretentious than Sedona. And there is more to do and see in Moab.)
