Here's the Pocket Rocket in its case.

I'm in love with the little guy.

A new cooler that can keep ice for up to five days (if I never open it).

An Entertainment Book -- Lake Tahoe / Reno edition. You can order these at this
time of year for around $7. If Gail and I use it once, it will more than pay for itself.
Last year we used it multiple times, including once for a big steak dinner.

An inflatable 4-man raft that we can use to float down the Truckee -- with room for
cooler, etc. But Gail might want to stay in the water with tubes, so we might not
use it. Also, a new, much smaller sleeping bag and an automatic inflatable mattress.

A 24-foot Army parachute that I hope to use to make my camp structure at
Burning Man . I don't have a design in mind, yet, but I'll think of something.

I found a Coleman stove on sale, so I replaced my old one.

A very light-weight golf cart that I bought at a garage sale for a dollar. I plan to make
something that holds a couple of bags of ice that I can pull behind my bike during
those regular trips for ice at Burning Man.

A solar flashlight -- leave it in the sun for 8 hours, and it works for 4-5 hours at night.
I can tie it to my bike for safe, night-time riding.

The van is running fine. I'm expecting good things from it. There is a small, wicker dresser behind
the driver's seat with pots, pans, picnic supplies, towels, silverware, toilet articles, etc. I could leave
tomorrow if I had to (or if I was allowed to).

Burning Man Preparation

During July, I started doing some preparation for my drive across country and Burning Man. My favorite new thing is a "Pocket Rocket," a tiny stove that attaches to the top of a small bottle of fuel.

I can hop out of the van at a rest stop, light the little stove and fry some eggs for breakfast. Or heat up a polish sausage for dinner.
