Driving Home -- Moab, Utah

Gateway to the Arches

I've been to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks in Utah, but I've never been to Arches National Park. Here's my chance.

As evening arrives, I drive into Moab, the gateway town for several national parks in the area.

More Moab, Utah

Moab is on the Colorado River in Eastern Utah.

And if these are the town views, I can't wait to see the views in the
national park.

My first task is to find a motel.

And my next task is to find a place to watch the Miami-Florida State game.
I checked out Eddie McStiff's, but moved on....

The Rio, just down the street from my motel, looked like the right place.

I had Mexican food with green chilis.

Moab is a great town. It reminds me of Sedona, AZ with added outdoor
activities -- camping, mountain biking, rafting.

My van at the motel in the morning.

A stop for gas...

and I head out of town...

The entry to Arches National Park is just a couple of miles North of town.
