Little River Maps
The above map has the airport circled. From the airport, take the exit road to Highway 17 and
turn right (North). You have two choices to get to Little River. Simply follow Highway 17 North
OR take 501 West to 31 North. (The map below explains the difference.)
The map above has the airport on the bottom left and an X that represents Little River on the top right.
You can see that Highways 31 and 17 run parallel. Highway 31 is a new, interstate type of road that
will get you there in a hurry. Highway 17 will show you the local sights, but might take a lot longer.
If you take Highway 17 just keep following it as it joins State Route 9, makes a scenic crossing of the
Intracoastal Waterway, and then splits off of 9 (stay on 17 North). If you take Highway 31 from the
airport, it will dead end into State Route 9. Take 9 East to 17 North. The condominium is marked
with an X.
The North Carolina beaches are less populated, wider and more natural. As soon as you leave
Little River heading North, the road will split. Take the RIGHT fork, Highway 179 heading to
Calabash, NC. Follow 179 through Calabash and make a right toward Sunset Beach. If you
continue on 179 past Sunset Beach, the road will turn into 904 and will reach Ocean Isle Beach.
Both of these beaches are excellent places to walk. There is a nice little restaurant at Ocean Isle
Beach on the left just as you cross the big bridge from the mainland to the beach community.
Trivia Places

If you leave the condo heading South on 17 you can easily find four trivia places. From 17, take 9 West for
a very short distance and watch for EDDIE'S CAFE on the right side of the road in the corner of
a shopping center with a Food Lion. (In Eddie's look for Nancy, Paul and Dan
between 2:30-5:00 most days.) Or, follow 17 South into North Myrtle Beach and watch for
BUFFALO WILD WINGS on the left in a large shopping center with Home Depot and Walmart Superstore.
If you continue South on 17 for several miles, you will find OVERTIME SPORTS BAR on the left. And
several miles further South on 17 you will find OSCAR'S. (In BW, Overtime, and sometimes Oscar's
look for PMAN -- ask the bartenders; they will know him.)
(The MARINA RAW BAR does not have trivia, but it has reduced drinks and half price bar food
during happy hour
including chowder, oysters, chicken strips, and more. Watch for signs as soon
as you enter North Myrtle Beach heading South -- it is off to the right, down a side street, but there
is a sign on 17.)
