Driving Home -- Colorado

I-70

The highway on the Western side of the Rockies is very scenic.

More Colorado

Interesting terrain as I enter the Rocky Mountain area on the Western
side. Looks like sand, but I think those are all rock formations.

At times the road is on two levels. We are heading East and those who
are driving West are on the top level.

Following the Colorado River up into the mountains.

I stopped at Parachute, CO for lunch.

For the first time, the terrain is turning green.

Passing Vail, CO with ski slopes in the background.

At the bottom of the Rockies, I pass through Denver.

I spent the night downtown in Limon, CO.

The Southside is the primary gathering place in town.

I had one of the best dinners of my trip -- chicken broasted with special
spices, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy ... and the secret
coleslaw recipe was great.
