From Alex

Alex gave me this book and told me to read it while on my trip to Burning Man. I did just that -- waking up most nights and reading a few chapters in my van by flashlight. It is a great book.

The true story of a college-educated, young, idealistic man who gives up his material possessions and lives a life of wandering and being close to nature. He eventually freezes to death in Alaska -- I am not giving away the story; his freezing to death is mentioned on the front cover and in the first chapter of the book.

A classic about African culture. I got it from Jim Johnson.

The story of Ralph Steadman and his relationship to and adventures with

project making t-shirts in the Ralph Steadman style back in college).

Interviews with nine contemporary cartoonists, with lots of examples of
their works.

People have been giving me books faster than I can read them. This one
is on my shelf and looks interesting.

And this one is on my shelf (from Alex).

I found this one on a clearance rack and hope to read it soon.

Since I am retired, I don't need to read this one.
