Another Example of the Power of the Internet

"Rough Cuts" is a service from O'Reilly Publishing which
allows you to read advance copies of books before they
come out. In this case, I purchased the right to read
each chapter of Essential Actionscript 3.0 as it
becomes available. I have read the first chapter on-line and
I will be notified by email as future chapters are finished.
I don't have to wait for the book to be published --
another nice use of the Internet.
