Pressure Cooker
My First One
I was doing some reading about cooking and decided I wanted a pressure cooker. The modern ones apparently have safety features that make them less dangerous than those of the past.
When I researched them online, the prices ranged from around $70 up to several hundred dollars. But two weeks ago I stumbled on a nice one at Aldi's for $39. My first meal was chicken with carrots, potatoes, celery, onion and spices. It cooked in about 12 minutes.
The steam penetrates the food and everything comes out nice and hot, all the way through -- just the way I like it.
