More Trivia

I couldn't find Aces and Eights, so I stopped in Scoundrels for directions.
The barmaid, Donna, happened to be from Kettering, Ohio -- the home
of Cadillac Jacks. After a couple of beers, she got me on the right path
for Aces and Eights.
And guess what? Aces and Eights turned out to be a Steeler bar (and I
was wearing my superbowl champions shirt).

The owner, Dog, is from Pittsburgh and went to the superbowl in Detroit.
He said they have 150-200 Steeler fans at his bar for every game. They also
get about 25 Browns fans for the Steeler-Browns game during which he
puts up police tape to separate the two camps and they engage in friendly
razzing across the tape -- e.g. Steeler fans throw dog biscuits to the Browns fans.
I discovered Aces and Eights the day before the others arrived from Ohio.
I ended up with the two high appeteasr scores for the month, and once
we started playing regular trivia, I got on the national board once. They saw
me at home in Cadillac Jack's and Kraig called to congratulate me (of course
Cadillac Jacks finished higher -- first in the country, in fact).
.
Once the others arrived, we went back to Aces and Eights and I introduced
everyone to Lee (center) who played with me the day before -- he plays as
SFOBNS
(Shit for Brains) and is an excellent player.
.
We put up one good set of scores that first day ...
.
And finished second in the country.
.
Bargos and Cadillac Jacks were playing -- we say them in 11th and 12th place.
.
Carol (Kraig's wife) had never been to Las Vegas before. It was nice of her
(downright heroic, in fact) to spend some time playing trivia before
seeing the sights.
.
Carol and Rob.
The owner and the other players in
the bar were super nice to us.
We will
stop back several times before we leave. Here I am showing off my
tattoo in Aces and Eights. No one is impressed.
