Downtown

After playing trivia with the Rob, John and Lee, I asked to be dropped off at my hotel. I was going to make an early evening of it while John and Rob met Kraig and Carol to go downtown to Fremont Street.

I called Gail, relaxed for a while, and then decided to catch the bus and surprise them on Fremont Street after all.

While waiting for the bus I met Ulysses and we had a great, long talk. We rode the bus together part of the way downtown. He is in his 70's and was able to share his wisdom with me.

More Downtown


Earlier, John, Rob and I played a little trivia at Aces and Eights. Our local friend,
Lee (SFOBNS), had a standing order with the barmaid that if we came in she should
call him. He joined us within minutes. Above - remember, Aces and Eights is a
Steeler bar.

Later, on my ride to downtown, I passed one of John's favorite, old-time
places: Slots a Fun.


Carol and I fooling around with the camera at some casino -- I don't
remember where.


And I don't remember how I got the beads.


When I got to Fremont Street, I found a football of beer and started looking for
the gang.


I saw this band -- guys in afros -- who Gail and I had a great time with
at the outside bar near Harrah's the last time we were in Las Vegas.


Ah, there they are... surprised to see me.
