Gail purchased a brand new laptop. It's a good one -- built-in wireless, 512 MB of memory, mobile processor, CD burner -- on sale for $399.
I wondered why three different stores had new laptops for $399. I thought maybe they were dumping them because they wouldn't be compatible with the new Windows OS, Vista. But after further reading I am thinking that the issue might be upcoming, improved processors. I am reading good things about the functionality and the prices of Intel's new Core 2 Duo processors that are coming soon.
I also finally mounted the flat panel TV on the wall in the dining room.
Now Gail can sit at the table and use the laptop while watching TV.
Of course Echo was in on the deal. She went with us when we drove to
Circuit City to get the laptop.
