Dogpark

Echo Runs Free

I know of three dogparks in the Dayton area. One is North of town and we haven't visited it yet, and the Humane Society will open one soon.

The other is in Xenia, about 20 minutes from the house, and we took Echo there for the first time during the 4th of July weekend. There is a large, fenced area where dogs can run and play, and benches, picnic tables, and water fountains for the humans.

More Dogpark

During two trips, we met seven dogs and all were very friendly.

And it is great to see Echo run. Except for Brenda's yard, this was her first time
off the leash in an open space, so we weren't sure if she would come to us.
She did -- when she wanted to.

She really likes running with the other dogs.

She's fast...

And she can make quick turns.

This black dog, Lily, is the only one we've met so far who can keep up
with Echo.

After they run, they calm down and rub noses, until the next running session
begins.

There are usually toys laying around in the park.

Waiting in line to get a drink of water.
