Same thing at the pool -- I am in sunshine while the clouds stay a short
distance inland. And I have the pool all to myself.

Never Rains
It never rains at the beach. Here you see a really big cloud that produced heavy rains. But, as often happens (thermodynamics of warm ocean water and breezes?), it stayed off the coast, leaving us in sunshine.
