Superbowl

Breakfast

It was 7:00 a.m. Portland time, but 10:00 a.m. my time -- so while Cole and Joey slept, I walked up to the Spare Room for breakfast and some superbowl previews on their TV.

Listening to the radio as I awoke, I realized that I am in Seahawk territory. I was so used to Steeler fans dominating in the rest of the country that I forgot that most people here would be rooting for Seattle. I will definitely have to go to the local Steeler bar to watch the game (to be among friends and to protect my health).

Spare Room

The Spare Room -- an old bowling alley turned into a restaurant, bar and
dance club -- is one of my regular hangouts in Portland.
