More Downtown Portland
Powell's is the big, world-famous bookstore in downtown Portland. I stopped
there, of course. But my favorites are these smaller, niche bookstores and
music stores that surround Powell's.
Speaking of Powell's, Joey turned me on to The Avenging Unicorn at Powell's.
"With 4 magical horns and 3 figures to impale."

Water fountains throughout downtown referred to as "Bunsen bubblers."
I kept my radio on as I took the buses and trains and walked around
downtown -- I had to listen to all of the post-superbowl talk.
And I read all of the papers. Nice picture in the New York Times.
