Pyramid Lake Geology

Rocks

The rocks around Pyramid Rock were fascinating. The outer layers looked like petrified mud. If the outer layer peeled off, a brain-like surface was exposed.

When the brain-like surface was cracked open, various petrified mud or petrified vegetation shapes were revealed (see below).
