The Drive to Mars

Me and Mom

I took mom to Mars, Pennsylvania -- North of Pittsburgh -- where she will have an Easter vacation with cousins. I put her chair in the van so she could travel in the style to which she is accustomed.

She will stay a week or two and either I will go get her, or some of my cousins will bring her back.

More Drive to Mars


We stopped at a Chinese Buffet on the way. Here's mom at the dessert bar.


We drove through downtown Pittsburgh, just for old times sake, even though
it was a little out of the way.


We wanted to pay our respects to Heinz Field, home of the superbowl
champion Pittsburgh Steelers. Ah, sweet.


On the other side of the road we see PNC Park, home of the Pirates (not
and likely to be champions), and site of this year's all-star game.
