I've been using Linux (and Lindows), Mac OS 10.2, and Windows XP side by
side.
It is becoming clear that Microsoft products are only needed for certain
niche roles.
Most of what I want to do can be done just fine with both Linux and with
the Mac.
The available software for Linux is especially impressive,
and the ease of
use when finding and installing software on Lindows is incredible.

Four computers -- one Mac OS 10.2, one Red Hat Linux 8, one Windows
XP,
and one for experimenting -- I have Lindows on it now and have been using
it daily for two weeks.
The Mac OS feels more artsy and spiritual, Linux (and Lindows) feel more
adventurous,
and Windows is useful for that occasional piece of software that
doesn't have a Linux version
(although there is usually a Mac version -- but expensive)
.
