On New Year's Day I drove to Little River, South Carolina where I spent the first week of the year -- a chance to relax and reflect.

Cold weather food -- a pork roast with onions, waiting for the sauerkraut. |

Ah, here's the sauerkraut. And the caraway seeds. But I forgot to add a slice of apple to the sauerkraut like my mother does. |
